Don a Biggles-style flying jacket, a headset, and goggles, and prepare for a Tiger Moth adventure like it was in the good old days.

Strap into the front seat of the 1940s vintage Tiger Moth plane. Your pilot sits behind and prepares the bi-plane for take-off.

With traffic clearance, the signal is given. The prop spins into action, and the familiar sound of the Tiger Moth engine immerses you in a bygone era. Chocks away, chaps!Tally-ho!

Once airborne, your pilot puts the plane on a planned course towards the coast, gaining height as you go.

Time for hair-raising aerobatics? It's the ultimate thrill-a-minute roller coaster ride, with barrel rolls, loops, and turns. It's not too wild, but just perfect for toppling the gyros.

You are in the air for a full 30 minutes. Enough to enjoy the scenery and to feel what it was like for the flying aces of yesteryear.

Flying is weather dependent. The operator will call you if weather conditions are unfavourable on the day and your booking needs to be rescheduled.

Allow one hour with 30 minutes in the aircraft from engine start to engine stop.

This experience is available all year round but subject to prevailing weather conditions.

Valid for one person. This is one on one with your fully qualified pilot.

Spectators are welcome to see you off and wave you in on your return. Bring a camera and if you have them a pair of binoculars. You will need to sign for a visitors pass at the operators facilities.

Minimum age is 6. You should be comfortable in the cockpit if you fit into a standard car seat. Unsuitable for pregnant women or anyone unable to climb into the open cockpit. Please consult with your doctor if you have a medical condition.

CASA Regulation for booking adventure flights

Military aircraft are built and tested to different standards than that put forward by CASA or any equivalent international civil aviation governing body. As such, in accordance with Civil Aviation Safety Regulation Parts 132.140, 132.150 and 132.155;

  • The design, manufacture and airworthiness of the aircraft are not required to meet any standard recognised by CASA; and
  • CASA does not require the aircraft to be operated to the same degree of safety as an aircraft used for regular public transport or charter operations; and
  • The passenger agrees to participate in this flight at his or her own risk; and
  • If it is reasonable to believe that a passenger cannot understand the safety briefing; said passenger must be accompanied on the flight by a parent, guardian, or carer; and
  • A detailed briefing will be provided to the passenger before they board the aircraft. This will include signing a liability waiver and acknowledgment of the briefing. If the passenger is under 18 years of age the waiver and acknowledgment must be signed by a parent, or legal guardian.
